Setenil de las Bodegas & Ronda
Updated: Apr 23, 2022

On Wednesday, April 20th, we visited Setenil de las Bodegas, a town Northwest of Malaga in the mountains. It is famous for the houses and shops built into caves and rock overhangs carved out of the cliffs millenniums ago by the river Rio GuadalporcĂșn. It was really unique and beautiful, and many of the shops still had the natural rock as their ceilings and rear walls. We then visited the town of Ronda, 1/2 hour away, which has bridges spanning a spectacular, deep gorge. We didn't do much there because it was bitterly cold and windy, and it will merit another trip.
